Alexander by Daymor
Established in 1951 Montreal by Max Schwartz, a creative entrepreneur with a great vision, Daymor has long been considered an industry leader in the Special Occasion/Eveningwear category. Well known for combining classic elegance with quality craftsmanship, over a span of seven decades the company has made its mark delivering refined womenswear and providing unrivaled customer care to all of its retailers and clientele throughout the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
In the 50s and 60s, Daymor was showcased at some of the most iconic Montreal department stores of the time including Simons, Laliberté, Paquet et Pollack. More recent venues included New York-based stores Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. Over its long-standing history, the company has had memorable divisions and employed remarkable design talents including Elvia Gobbo and Tom D’Auria who designed ‘LUV & The Factory’ as well as designers Karen Perry, Michelin Boucher, Lorraine Beauchamp (namesake collections 1978 – 1989) and Catherine Mercedes Ferreira (1990 – 2001).
Since 2001, the collection has been designed by Alexander Taksev. Throughout the past two decades, his designs have achieved commercial successes and continue to be featured by celebrities, socialites, influential philanthropists and businesswomen. His work has been showcased in numerous boutiques, specialty and department stores as well as a museum fashion exhibition.
